Offline Simulation Environment

IPSS has added to its existing models package the ability to initiate simulations and capture results. This feature uses a form generator to solicit input about a proposed run and then initiate an offline simulation.

The simulation setup will allow experimentation with input parameters such as:

• Work roll and backup roll diameters
• Current mill conditions (thermal growth, etc.)
• Transfer gauge
• Finishing temperature
• Furnace dropout temperature
• PDI
